I have already finished my PhD. Here is my new home page.

Short Biography

I was born in Jaworzno, Poland. I studied at the AGH University of Science and Technology (AGH) in Kraków, Poland, and got my MSc degree in Computer Science from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatics, Computer Science and Electronics (EAIiE), Department of Computer Science (KI). I also studied Computational Physics for some time at the Faculty of Physics and Applied Computer Science (FiTJ) at AGH, just for fun (and as a hobby), but decided to suspend the studies and start a PhD. Then I graduated from the Doctoral School in Computer and Communication Sciences (EDIC).

Currently, I'm doing a PhD at the Distributed Programming Laboratory (LPD), School of Computer and Communication Sciences (I&C) at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland). In short, my current research focuses on modern synchronization methods in shared memory systems (like transactional memory). I work under the supervision of prof. Rachid Guerraoui.
